Forest Lake State High School is a public high school located in Forest Lake, which is in the Brisbane City Area of South East Queensland, Australia. The school officially opened in 2001, with only year 8, using the first school buildings as the official grounds. The grades gradually increased throughout the years. During the development period, the school had been recognised for its sporting achievements after winning numerous District premierships and awards. The school, still in its infancy has strived to attain the credibility and respect of the wider community. Nevertheless, the characteristics of a strong, emerging school are evident through academic and sporting achievements. In 2004, the school began on an extension project of the schools buildings, adding more blocks to the school which would be able to fit more grades and students in the years to come.
